Shop Fluorite, Pyrrhotite, Arsenopyrite, Muscovite

Fluorite, Pyrrhotite, Arsenopyrite, Muscovite

$180.00

The variety of fluorite plates that come out of the Yindu mine continue to surprise me. Different crystal styles and mineral combinations continue to pop up. This sample has an odd combination of pyrrhotite, arsenopyrite, siderite, muscovite, and fluorite. This set of minerals is not unusual for the mine but the quantities of them and growth patterns are. This sample is very high in arsenopyrite, as well as having siderite castes of pyrrhotite. Add in some mild iridescence on a few of the fluorite cubes and the piece becomes quite unique. Not to mention the stunning capping and windowing on the fluorite. The contrast between the whitish to light blue caps and windows against the deep purple fluorite is the cap on top. Dimension 10.6cm x 8.6cm x 3cm, Weight 372g, Locality Yindu mine, China.
